The course consists of two parts: (1) The first half covers the principles of city design through lectures, guest speakers, and visual and graphic media instruction, supplemented by individual and collaborative team assignments and presentations focusing on design principles discussed during the weekly lectures. (2) The second half consists of a final design project, in which groups of students will analyze an urban site and develop design intervention strategies by applying the principles learned throughout the semester.
